It is the wish of Mr. & Mrs. Atherton that the original Deaf Hill Banner of 1892 be on permanent display at the Trimdon Station Community Centre formally the Deaf Hill Miners Welfare Hall. This permanent display will allow anyone both young and old to call at the Centre to view the banner at anytime. We currently have two other Deaf Hill banners at the Centre which can also be viewed at anytime.
Trimdon Station Community Centre has a new 20 week NHS quit smoking drop-in starting 10.30 to 11.30 Tuesday 17 August 2010. Stop smoking drop-ins are informal sessions where people who want to make a serious attempt to stop smoking can find support from an NHS specialist stop smoking advisor.

Are you over 60? Trimdon Station Community Centre runs a Luncheon Club on a Monday between 10.45am and 1.15pm. We have a raffle, tombola and play bingo, the cost is only £3.50 per person for a two course meal. Transport is available in the Trimdons and Deaf Hill area only, but everyone is welcome. We currently have a few places, please contact Larraine Grigg on 01429 882460 for further information. We would like to say thank you to Pat Chatterley for her kind donation to the Luncheon Club in memory of her late husband Bernard.
Youth Pod The Youth Pod is open for 13 to 19-year-olds on Mondays, from 5pm to 7pm, for five to 13-year-olds on Tuesdays, from 4pm to 6pm, with two sessions on Thursdays – for five to 13-year-olds, from 4pm to 6pm and for 13 to 19-years-olds, from 6pm to 8pm. Details here.
Exercise Class Trimdon Station Community Centre are starting an exercise class which is aimed at those looking for gentle exercise. Start date is 10am 4th May and cost just £2 per session. For further details contact the community centre.
St Paul’s Church The war memorial plaques which were taken from St Paul church have now been sited at the community centre if anyone would like to view them.
